The government of Parana, led by Roberto Requiao, signed on the morning of Tuesday, November 24, a pact that promotes racial equality and sexual diversity. "The government is working with public policy directed to those who really need and social movements, who are with us, developing and overseeing the implementation of such inclusive policies," said Nizan Pereira, Special Secretary for Strategic Affairs. "We have to break with common sense and make the minority of the population can be represented and benefited from government actions."
The president of ABGLT (Brazilian Association of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals), Toni Reis, approved the initiative and said the State Government is a partner of the LGBT movement in education, health and safety. "We have good access to the government in this discussion.
